< BORDERS > is a project that proceeds in stages.
Each stage is an episode of 40-45 minutes. The 6 episodes have been aired since September 24, 2004 on a monthly basis on the PLANET satellite channel. Each stage/episode contains different stories with a common thread that runs through them, linked together by visual/textual fragments that create connections.
< BORDERS> moves on the borderline between the documentary _ the video-inquiry _ the docu-fiction_.
Through a hybrid language, it focuses on the multitude of people and stories that are acting in Europe and in the world in clear contrast to neoliberal policies and cultures, experiences that concretely draw the profile of a constituent rebellion of another society.
< BORDERS > focuses on facts and stories that are on the margins of history but that simultaneously make history.
…It tells of a world made up of many worlds, and for this reason, even in its tragedy, it is marvelous….
Frontiers are places_non-places that symbolize our era…
…places_not-places where stories, people, different languages meet and sometimes intertwine…
…mestizo places, hybrids and for this reason particularly pulsating with life…
The border-lines are places of suspension between a before and an after, points of passage…extreme points as extreme as being born and dying…
